Who knows what they would do. Some people fear the unknown so much that I wouldn't doubt that they would take another person's life to prevent it. I personally don't know anyone like that, but I'm sure there are plenty of people out there like that.

No, its far from greed. Just because someone fears death and wishes to live longer doesn't mean there greedy. Thats like saying ts wrong to want to defend your family from an attacker...

I don't think it's the people who want to live longer that are greedy, I think it's the person that is willing to do anything to live longer that's greedy.

I don't fear death. I just don't want to suffer a lot when I die.

Here's a female point of view.. or ..just mine!

We can't choose our own death, really.. it happens. Mother nature is never late and she has decided when we go. Although none of us truly know when that "time" is.. it will come eventually. Thus, why some of us (people) die at a young age. Also, I am a strong believer of the future and past lives.. so to me, the ones who die young are simply needed to do another task and cannot perform in the "body" that they are in at that time.. so they die, re-born and will solve that task.

Suicide is not a way to control when you die..but just someone who is fearful of death and chooses to live up to it *forgive the pun* before it eventually comes. They would rather know how they will die, when and where.. so that their "stress" (somewhat) is reduced. The only problem with that is they leave all their friends, family and other loved ones behind and give them an amount of stress, sorrow, pain and such. So do they really help themselves?.. I believe that someone who suicides IS in fact greedy..because of my previous statement. They think of only themselves, their pain and thoughts.. yet don't care for their family.. Just peachy, hmm?

I, personally, do not fear death. Never have and frankly, never will. What's the point? You know it's real, it's gonna happen wether you like it or not.. and you can't avoided it.. so why fear it? I mean.. we don't fear school, breathing or waking up in the morning.. so why fear something that's "physical" (sort of)?

Hmmm I agree with most of what your saying Freya.. accept for your thoughts of fear if death.

People tend to commit suicide because they are too afraid to live.. that they see it as a way of running away from consequences and responsiblities that come with life. It is definately a cowards way out in the majority of cases and your right ultimately selfish.

I dont fear death either it is merely another one of natures cycles.. like night and day.. one will follow the other. I dont want to die as I enjoy life too much but when my time comes Ill approach it with my arms held open...

You are saying that those who kill themselves are afraid of death.. I disagreed its because it is a fear to live..

Im scared of bunnys (i know its sad) and ill do anything to avoid one, does that make me greedy to want a distance between me and the those evil hair balls, no, its fear...(ps: If someone is willing to do anything to avoid death, then it obvious he fears it!)
