What is your definition of insanity?? You could say a crazy person or a illusional person, but we all have different views of things. So if we all have different views on things, wouldn't that make all of us insane towards eachother?? You could also say, someone who needs a firmer grip on reality, but who doesn't?? Maybe what I see is totally different from what everyone else sees. It's a big loop hole.

Everything is relative. I guess you could say someone whose mental stability is different than everyone elses. But that doesn't really work either.

[glow=purple,2,300] hmmm...well I guess and insane person would be someone who sees horrible things, that have no excuse and do no good whatsoever as justifiable...
or someone who's entire life revolved solely around their own world, and never takes into consideration another possibility or the "outside world"..
well that's my opinion...

ok ive done some research on this...
according to dictionary.com this is insanity:
"Persistent mental disorder or derangement"
according to the law this is insanity:
"mental disorder of such severity as to render its victim incapable of managing his affairs or of conforming to social standards"
according to psychology this is insanity:
"a broad category of mental disorder encompassing the most serious emotional disturbances, often rendering the individual incapable of staying in contact with reality"
ok well
the first one gives us nothing...
the second the law one gives us a pretty good definition but it doesnt really tell what it is... meaning whise.
the third one i like... and would like to analyse ;D
there are 2 words in there that bother me... one is "reality" and the other is "contact".
according to dictionary.com reality is a few things
1.The quality or state of being actual or true
2.One, such as a person, an entity, or an event, that is actual
3.The totality of all things possessing actuality, existence, or essence
4.That which exists objectively and in fact
well the first one here is kinda confusing... we'll look into that later
The second is a little unclear coz if the word "actual"
The third just sucks so much ass i wont even go into that...
and the forth is interesting..
lets look at the fourth
stuff that exist in fact... means that they were proven
everything is being proved upon axioms and axioms are just stuff u hafta assume... u can prove em or anything.
so that basically says that nothing is true
yeah yeah of course thats only one way of looking at it..
but thats just the deepset way i can think of
ok now both the first and the second have the word actual in em
according to dictionary.com actual is 2 things:
"Existing and not merely potential or possible"
and
"Based on fact"
the fact thing is already been proven pointless right?
ok so existing... hhmmm...
lets see
this is exisiting:
"To have actual being; be real"
ok now both of does get us into a loop...
so lets go back to definition number 1 of reality
"1.The quality or state of being actual or true"
true?
now what is that?
according to dictionary.com it is
"In accord with reality, fact, or truthfulness"
reality gets us into another loop
fact is kinda pointless
and truthfulness well... its exactly the same as true...
so lets go back to contact! ;D ;D ;D

as for reality...well a person creates their own reality...the world is as you see it...and is understood as you want it to be understood...
and individual incapable of staying in contact with reality...well that just doesn't work because if the strangest of people have a reality...the only people without reality...are...ok well now see EVERYONE has A reality...but who's to say which reality is the "right" one when everyone's reality is different....?
now as to the matter of truth...everyone makes there own truth...the truth that a person has made is what they base their reality on...if a person thinks the meaning of life is to destroy it, then the person's reality will be a somber and murderous one...
it's all relative...
so well nothing is real, nothing is true but that can only be right is everything is real, everything is true....
that's the only way it will work...
let's face it...everyone is insane by some standard but everyone is sane by others...
insanity has just become an excuse...~hmm sir you are charged of*looks down at paper* OH DEAR GOD...YOU ACTUALLY DID THAT YOU SICK F*CK?!?!?! *ahem* ok well um..how do you plead?~ ~ I see purple eleeeephinks~ ~hmm subject seems insane...let's just stick him in a nice room where he's fed, clothed and kept warm after he commited something unspeakable...maybe one day we'll set you free because you tell psychologists what they want to hear~
well somehow...that just doesn't seem right...
