Angels

What do angels look like?
They can have two different states. One physical, and one non-physical. We're talking about the physical state here.
I think they show themselves as normal, though slightly different, humans. Different like they have some kind of mark.

Angels look however they wish to look.

Ofcourse they do. But wouldnt there be a common appearing for them?
In fact they don't differ that much from ghosts...

Hmmm... I, for one, say angels can be under a human form.. And some(ahem..Jay.) would agree with me!! Hmm I wonder why!  8)...

Angels are everywhere... it's just some like to be kept to one person instead of many!

Jay, as I one, and maybe other people here.. know for a fact that that was not your true answer! YOu may see blue smurfs, in YOUR world..hehe! But.. in the Reality.. for you, what is angels? IF you do see them.... or do you pink and purple polka-dots too along with those smurfs of yours?? ( right back! lol)

ok...ok... my views on angels are that they can appear as whatever they like..and if they do appear as a human type person..they would be more like a normal human with different attibutes like black eyes, hollow bones, different DNA, etc.

but not all angels are good,
look at lucifer the morningstar

I agree with a lot of things you are saying,
Angels can take any form they want, and have a human form very often.
but they don't have a unique material form like we do,
are just a soul, demons are aswell.

don't forget there both from the same background!
Lucifer took fallen angels with him and those became his servants, demons.
it might be that Angels and demons get the form that fits there soul...

one other thing I would like to say/ask
in my opinion there are different Angels with a different task. such as protecting mankind, protecting one person especially or serving God.
what do you think?

btw, in the bible, Angels who visit people are large, they bring a almost blinding light and humans get scared when they apear (there first words always are 'fear not')

Yeah yeah... but we're talking about how angels would look like, not about daemons or whatever (though u were right bout that)
I like the smurf idea, although I'd prefer kaboutertjes instead ;D
Anyway, why is it that an angel would show itself if it can choose? I mean, why do it the hard way?

Because, Nem, angels are truthful souls..and there's no hard way or easy way... there's only one way to do things... So to show themselves, is being truthful... besides, they have nothing to hide from us, humans, anyway. They began has humans, so they were our kind. So technically, it would be like them appearing to their own.

and even if they do.. why bother about what's just a jacket to you??
I do think Angels are beautiful, meaning they have something that others don't.
Their soul can be seen in their appareance.
It's hard to explain  

But Freya, I don't think Angels have been humans or something like that,
we are totally different!
Angels are just soul, we are soul and body, combined in beautiful way..
the bible says that we'll all get new body in heaven.
NOT become Angels who have none, but be unique human beings with a perfect body without sickness,  death and pain.
Angels 'put on' a form, we have one that belongs to us alone..

btw.... Nemesis, Angels are servants.
they watch over us, and in some points in life,
really help us.
in my opinion the big chief decides when they can or can't take a human form. it all depends on the situation!
is it needed, will it have result?

sometimes we don't even see them..
a friend of mine runs a bookshop and had to close it one night, it was late and dark, and on the street a group of angry teens walked straight at her.
she was scared they would harm her and said a little prayer.
suddenly the group split up and walked away.
she was surprised but forgot it soon after.
later one of those teens came in her bookshop and told her what had happend. they wanted to rob her, but there where two very tall and strong man on both sides of her....

I would think they would be able to look like whatever they want to look like.  If they want to look like a human or a giraffe or whatever than they can.

ok..what if...the angels are an offshoot of humanity, they were the first race created by god...and they were ultimate perfection until lucifer grew tired of being used by god and betrayed his word..so god got in a hissy fit and banished all of the angels to heaven and to hell.
then god created man..and eve fucked it all up  lol

i know most of this is in the bible..but it would be interesting to know if the angels were physical beings until god punished them.

just some ramblings in my mind here   ;D
