A friend of a friend knew this man who used to work in the local factory. He was never a big talker or the life and soul of the party, but he managed to hold down his job and he enjoyed a game of pool in the pub after work. One day he died suddenly. He was only in his 20s or 30s. He had been physically fit and they had trouble ascertaining what had caused his death... until they looked at his brain. His skull was mostly filled with fluid and what tiny portion of brain that was left, was only the size of a walnut. The doctors reckoned he must have been functioning on just this small piece of brain for some time. ;D

Yay! These things are cool!
So is that why he never really talked to much?? Because his brain was small or damaged or whatever??

I doubt this is real.. the human brain has several areas that are required to maintain a living being.. It may have been based on truth and brain damage could have occured but surviving on a part of a brain the size of a walnut?? Nope dont believe it.. Great story though

Interesting story Jase. Amazing. Was he in anyway handicapped?
It reminds me of the stories of the fetu births. It is where, sometimes years later, pieces of an indigested second fetus is found within the body of another.
In Steven King's novel THE DARK HALF, at the beginning of the novel the character passes out. He is taken to the hospitol and into surgery. When they open his head, they find an eyeball there.
