Sir Richard franscis Burton(1821-1890) was a sort of jack of all trades. He was a well established linguiest, swoardsman, adventuer and Scholar. Descirbed as a rougeish, deviant Genius by many this man was responsible for the translations of Arabian Nights, Karma Sutra and many other muslim and arabian books. He discovered a the head waters of many rivers and was second in a race to discover the head waters of the nile. He was also the first non muslim to enter the holy city of Mecca An over all fascinating man he also had paranormal ties. He is the inventor of the term ESP and was also though to be the one of the first men to openly carry this talent. He spent many hours studying ESP but unfortunatly upon his death most of his journals were burned by his wife. He though that he radiated strange rays from his eyes. From the age of 12 he had an amazing accuracy with a rifle and was able to detect enemy soldiers in the area with out seeing them and give accurate numbers. When exploring he carried no maps and could tell quite accuratly also what landforms were nearby and what kind of shape the land was in. He also was an avid practionire of HYpnotism, which he also seemed to do almost naturaly. He became so good at this skill that all the men who served over him feared him so much that they refused to anger him for fear of what he would do.

yes. he was from london but i belive he lived out most of his life in Istanbul. not much is know about him because as i said his wife burned about 90% of his journals in grief after his death. There are several rather large societies devoted to him. and many site about his life pieced togetehr from the remaining journals.

If we could meet this man.. just imagine the knowledge he could pass down about ESP and everything else he knew. It would be truly amazing. I would do it.. if I could!
