Elizabeth of Bathory Countess of Blood In 1611, the Hungarian countess Elizabeth of Bathory was bricked into one room of her castle as punishment for killing over 650 young girls. She murdered them for their blood for her to bathe in...in which she believed would restore her youth and beauty. The countess was very vain and feared growing old and to lose the beauty which she was famed throughout Europe. She discovered this magic blood cure when she hit a maid so hard that blood gushed from her nose all over Elizabeth's face and hands. She was convinced that the blood had made her skin more lovely and decided to bath her whole body in it. The maid was killed and her blood drained into a tub and gently warmed. This was the start of ten years of cruel murders for the hundreds of girls lured to the castle by promises of money and jobs. Instead, they were locked up and tortured, kept alive for as long as possible to be milked of their blood at dawn for the countess's beauty baths. i think this was posted on the old board, but i thought i bring it up again

I always thought it was Bloody Mary, not Elizabeth. Of course, the way people killed eachother back then, they were probably both called that. I think they should of drained HER of all her blood and see how she likes it.

Heh! Twisted, no? Kinda makes you think that for her to live long enought to kill 650 ppl, each one lasting like a week, then she must have lived pretty damn long. It sounds like ther lil cure might have worked... As you know: "there is a thin line beetween genius and crazy"... think about it!...

Actually when ye kill 1 person a week, it takes 12,5 year to kill 650.. when ye start at 20 its possible.. there goes ye cure Bout the genius; With stones we throw at them geniuses build new roads. Think about that

45<x<50 /+12.5
57.5<x<62.5
well according to my calculations (;D ;D) that will be her age 57.5 to 62.5 not really that old

Well, in those days it was pretty old. Most people were lucky to make it to their thirties.

Don't forget, that its not like she had them shipped in. She didn't get one every week. She probly would have waited months for the right moment to strike someone!
