Today, a tragic event happened in our country, The Netherlands.
A politician, Pim Fortuyn was assasinated after a radio-interview. At 18:06 he was shot 3 times in the head, neck and chest. Medics tried to reanimate him, but that was not succesfull.
In the interview he gave today, he said he didnt want to die, and that he would be 87 years old. Two days ago, he complained to our government that he felt he wasn't secured enough.
To be honest I didnt like his political thoughts, but I find this action really sad. Nobody deserves to die like this.

My thoughts go to his family. May he rest in peace.

it's hard to believe that there are people who would do something like that...what is the world coming to....

I agree. I know that many jokingly say, "hey, I would love the chance to kill Bush." But it is in the heat of the moment or a joke.
I do not know the history of this man or if he was corrupt/not corrupt. But either way, if he was the first; then the law should have taken care of him...not some citizen taking it into his own hands to do so.

Well he wasnt corrupt... we Dutchies are on 2nd place of non-corrupt countries of the world...
Anyway, no-one deserves to die like this.
(BTW; Bush is to stupid to walk away for the bullet when ya try to kill him, so it aint fun no more... ;D)
