Which one?? I say the chicken, it evolved from something else and then began laying eggs.

the chicken had to come first because the mother chicken teaches it young how to look for food and everything

Maybe I should clarify. I meant what came first, the chicken or the CHICKEN egg, not the egg in general.

That doesnt count. The chicken evolved from a lil dinousaur to what it is today, bringin the egg with it. And thus, when it steadily became the chikcen, the chicken-egg also evolved with it.
So then, it came both together
