Have you never heard of historical records that were written by said people?
Sure they can't raise from the grave and give lectures but they have left their legacy in their buildings and their written records that still exist.
From which we can learn from them

we learnt everything from the ppl before us... EVERYTHING we learnt things like, farming, technology, nuclear fusion, human sacrifices, computers, mathmatics, etc etc etc etc etc................ some good and some bad... No way.. bcuz those who figured something out first (e.g. Eisntein / relativitytheory) didnt learn that from someone else. They made it up themselves. No learning.. ok they learned to reason.. ;D

Civilisation grows and thrives based on the lessons we learn from the past. We take things known by our elders and adapt them change them, expand upon them. How do you know they didn't have knowledge lost when they died? Who is to say simple lessons from the Mayans or any other ancient civilisation cannot shed light upon our own? We still know only fractions of their knowledge.

Ofcourse we still learn things from Mayans.. like latex thingies. Or chewinggum.. But we certainly didnt learn loads of things. Besides that, most discoveries go seperate with eachother in different cultures..

dude Eisnstein didnt reinvent math and not physics if he had to reinvent 5000 years of scientific evolution... he would get that far we add more stuff based on what we learnt

DUDE stop the DUDE thing plz ty sounds cocky I didnt say Einstein INVENTED it. He figured it out. He figured out something NEW. That means, the thing he figured out is never thought before. Atleast not that way that you can test it anyway. Following that path, you can say not all things are learned. Because there ONCE was a begin.
