They mentioned on the history channel that a series of tests were done in astrology in mid-1900's.
One test involved some astonomers reading profiles of people's personalities and trying to match their characteristics to their astrological signs. All astronomers failed to match the characteristics to the person's actual astrological sign.
Another test involved scientists mixing up the characteristics of a Leo with a Scorpio, Scorpio with an Aquarius, etc., and then telling people who were a Leo if they matched the description. A vast majority said that the description did match their personality.
But does that disprove astrology completely?? Not totally. Another test was done in the 50's by a skeptic of astrology. He studied certain people and realized that many great politicians were born when Jupiter was rising. When Mars was rising, which is a symbol of courage and war, many soldiers and athletes were born. His tests showed the same for the other planets.

Oh, I gotcha now.
Yeah, he knew that's what astrology was, but he was testing to see if it was true to what it says or not. Like with the two failed tests, astrology didn't live up to its expectations. But in the third test it did.
I think astrology is interesting and can maybe tell us a little about ourselves, but I don't think it can predict who we will be or what the future will hold.

NEVER forget an Astrologer really differs from an Astronomer.. I hope you meant astrologer instead of astronomer.. otherwise astronomy would be blemished ;D

Sorry, that's a typo. The words are so closely spelled that I put the wrong one in even though I know the difference. Thanks for warning me about that, though. I didn't realize I had done that.
