with risaing intrest in clones and clone technology it is becomeing very possible to live forever. scientest experemneting in organic electronis and biomachinery are said to be nearing break throughs that will allow constant chemical data storage. This will allow memories and knowledge of a person to be stored and saved and perhaps ever passed on to a healthy clone body. This includes possibly giving service men adn women chips that allow them to be a cloned an unlimited amount of times with out needing retraining after being killed in battle. "begun this clone war has"

Miesa dont think so. Though there is a possibility that that will happen, you still gotta transfer a person's thoughts into the clone. Since thoughts are still not understood perfectly, I'd guess that it'll never happen that those thoughts can be transfered.

I'm not quite clear on how they can get their knowledge and memories stored. Will it be in a little glass vial?? How do you take something intangable and turn it into something real??

acctually all information in the brain is in the form of electrical and chemical impulses. if you could copy and store these you could theoroetically go as far as wet wirring a brain. as for the glass vial thingy, ever read "Amnesia Moon" ? they Have a rather distrubing section in that book where the main character is getting high off the memories and chemical remains of a dead character

Memmory is also interpretation. Which isnt copyable.

Teleporting? Come on folks-
If the memory could be stored, and then transmitted, with a body at the other end of the transmission ready and willing to have the memories implanted into them, a new form of transportation could be made-
You wouldn't have to travel the 1500 miles or so to go to a meeting, you could copy your imitiate thoughts and memories, send them there where a body of yours of someone similar that could take in your memories is waiting, they go do what ever you had to do, while you're (The original you) doing what ever you want at your original place.
I'm not sure if that was explained right... Star Trek! Those teleporters, perhaps we're coming up on that?

If the person's life, or I should say major events in the life. The events and things that made the person's personality were to be recorded, then played back at high speed to a new-grown clone, that could imprint the memory and persona on the clone. Course, it wouldn't be 100% accuret.

Yeah well you can print it in, but it still depends on the person what he's gonna do with it
