That's an interesting theory. But how do you fold time in half??

your not so much folding time as warping it. Do you know "the knot is the string theory"?

well if you take a string
--------------------------------------------*oh illustrations!*
-the string represents time
-put a knot in it --------------o---------------------
-the knot represents a Temporal anomaly of some kind (worm hole, flux, fry hole)
-then widen the knot until the string is all in one big knot or circle
>-----------@---------------< >--------@@------< >--@@@@@@--< -the knot is a lot bigger but the length of the string is massivly decreased
-now pull the string out <---------@@-----------> <-------------------------------@---------------------->
<---------------------------------o------------------------>
---------------------------------------------------------------
-the knot gets smaller until the string finally returns to its normal form.
-thus knot tightens and widen depending on the length of the string at ether end.
what that is supposed to show is that the hole/rip/bend/whatever in time is not permenent but only there for how long and only as big as its needed. the longer the distances larger the anomily will have to be. IT's not so much like a wormhole, but more so similar to kicking a hole in the wall of time and then repatching it perfectly. it's just weird, and theres no sound theory i know of to even explain or prove tesserecting solidly. probably the closest thing would be most of Hawkins work and probaly some of enisteins. *edit, illustrations got screwed up had to revert back*

Yeah.. and you can create the 'knot' by takin' two HUGE metal plates ;D ;D Go seek for 'Casimir-effect' for more info. (to hard to explain here in full detail)

Are there any theories on how to make a "knot" or rip in time?? I'm really starting to get interested in this topic.

well as nem said, theirs the "cashmir effect", i also can't explain that very well. theirs the ever common wormhole, and of course, light speed and similarly high speeds would also warp time in various ways. i'm a little upset no one noticed my allusion to "Futurama" with "fry holes". No Futurama fans here?
