Anti-depressiva like Prozac, Zoloft or Paxil work because people want them to work. That's the conclusion from an american research, outa which came that swallowing placebo-pills are as effective as anti-depressiva for fighting a depression. American psychologist Kirsch compared a group of persons who swallowed anti-depresiva to a group which swallowed sugar-pills. Both groups progressed almost the same at the 'less-depressive-progress-scale'; 20% progress for the medicine-group against 16% for the placebo-group.
Though sugar influences the making of endorfine (which causes you to feel happy), I think this is a pretty good example from 'mind over body', scientifically proven ;D

I always found that my anti-depressant is writing poems or lyrics. I can write whatever I want to get my emotions out. Hey, whatever works Teej

The thing is so simple. Whatever you think what makes ye happy is a anti-depresiva.

Yeah. They use the same thing for sicknesses and stuff like that, and it works.

It even worked on people with Parkinson's desease.. pretty impressing When people don't know its a placebo, it works best.

lol aint that the whole point? u cant go to someone and tell him "listen dude... its a placibo.. now its not really gonna do something but dont you think about that mmkay?" i do wonder why that doesnt work ;D
works on parkinson? doesnt that mean that the dude didnt really have the desease? or those it mean that the brain is powerful/stupid enough to fool itself?

I think last thing.. bcuz when you keep telling urself you feel sick you eventually GET sick. Try it. It works, just trick yourself (and yes, you know you are fooling urself! ;D)

Ofcourse you are sick before you know.. its bcuz you cannot interpreted very slight symptoms sheesh.. You gotta say (one way or another) the placebo works.. otherwise it wont work. That means, the opposite is also possible. Hee hee that would mean voodoo may be possible ;D
