some ppl on this site see skepticism, science and scientists to be evil, close minded ppl that refuse to believe in anything that doesnt fit right into thier petty lil world, ppl that will do anything in order to prove YOU wrong and show you how stupid you are.

thats just not it
science is the way of examining the world around us... examining by questions and objectivity
u cannot reach a REAL answer without asking as many questions as you can and without being objective
just cant
so the right way to answer a question is first to give as much answers as you can to it
than question and try to disprove as much of those questions as possible in order to narrow the possibilities
keep trying to narrow it down till u reach something u cant or havent been able to disprove yet
thats what all science theories are based on
thats what all our technology, medical stuff, TVs and other stuff is based on.
when someone questions what you say u cant just go and say "because a believe in it" coz that basicalyl means nothing... means nothing to science
a true scientist would examine all possiblities and narrow'em down systematically
and after reaching a few reasons that cant be narrowed down just choose the most probable
believing is something without any proof and without even considering the possibility that its false IS true close mindness
think about that before the next time u try to explain something to a science dude or before u get offended by what he says
