Death and I walked side by side. The road turned oddly as we round; but from this side I could not see- to where my destiny would lead. Death's hand held mine- t'was bitter cold and sent chills through onto my soul. And drained from me determination and will to flee from the darkness to where it was safe. What good is will when he faces you and lifts the cycle- what could ever shield. When the time comes and fate calls out, "It's time, bring to me..." and says your name.
Death turned and looked to where we'd been. Shook his head and sadly sighed, "why didn't you live when you had the chance and all to late- wished you had tried? Life is short, you should have known- nothing is forever, it all must end. Why didn't you try harder to show and reap the joy and give to them? You had so much love given to you- yet remained blind to those that saw. The beauty within- a light so bright.. you dimmed it's eternal glow. With doubts and fears and gave no rest to the past- you made it strong. And never looked to where the path went; but stayed behind and took the fall."
Bitters tears wept, by death's side. A soul inbattered by forgotten faith. Why can't life then be lived again and a soul learn from it's mistakes... and be given a second chance.

:applauds: I liked this very much, Kat. Very nice, makes one stop and think about how they've been living their lives.

Cool. Glad you liked it. For some reason that first line popped in my head and the poem just followed. I could see death and the person so clearly. It was kind of weird.
