The Radiant Boy is (was) often seen in Chillingham Castle, England, as a blue radiant (how obvious) boy. His appearance is very brigh, and seems deceptively peacefull. He can be seen in, what today is called, the Pink Room. Alot of people have heared the boy moaning at midnight. It's voice could be heared even through 10 ft. thick walls. The legend says that those who see him are destined to have great power, but a very violent death produced by a damaging force. In the 1920's, the bones of a young boy and some fragments of a blue dress were discovered in an old chimney in the Pink room. The remains were removed and decently burried in the familly-tombe, since when the figure has never been seen again.

I've heard of this guy. I always thought it was in the Grey Room, but I could be mistaken. That's a very creepy place. We should get a para-u get-to-gether there. That would be awesome.

I think that the major reason ghost frighten ppl is bcuz they are afraid of being dead themselves. Besides that, those ghost who do frighten peeps were probably bad while alive too.

i participated in an overnight investigation at chillingham two weeks ago. it was a fantastic place, the energy there is brilliant, no oppressiveness at all. i was on a high the whole time i was there. we had a spirit of a little boy playing with us. he was a michievious little bugger too lol. as far as i am aware, the room that you said about guests feeling uncomfy in is no longer used due to this. we only had limited access to the castle due to some mindless'paranormal investigators' (yobs more like) thought it fit to mindlessly vandalise the place and directly spoiling it for the more serious investigators. I spoke to sir humphrey (the owner) at length about this and totally understand his point of view. trinitii

thanks for the warm welcome. i spoke with sir humphrey for about half an hour and he told me some of the things that so called 'paranormal investigators' had done to his home. he had pictures stolen, a set of electronic gates trashed, a 400 yr old window smashed (which was, of course, irreplacable) and many other items stolen or broken. this was because he had opened his home and all its grounds for thorough investigations by other groups. and they repaid him by acting like thugs and destroying it. so as a result we only had access to one tour of the grounds, two rooms and the courtyard. great huh! needless to say i was rather dissapointed that i had driven the 300 miles to get there. don't get me wrong, i thoroughly enjoyed the experience but the evening was destined to be of poor quality. due to the extremely rude staff and the other guests of the castle. the guests found it highly amusing that we were looking for ghosts and fueled by alittle too much drink, decided to take the piss out of us until 3.00am when they decided to turn in. they constantly walked through our investigation, screamed, rapped on windows, pulled moonies and generally ruined the evening. but when the time came for them to go to bed, one guest took a disliking to us being in the courtyard and proceeded to holler at us from a window'to turn our fucking cameras off as they wanted sleep'. they were not impressed that we had the whole night to go and proceeded to complain to the security guards that they did not appreciate our presence or our noise and cameras. although we were being quiet anyway the guards told us we could no longer go outside and therefore had to set up a sit in experiment in the two rooms we were still allowed in. by this time our tempers were fraying as we too were paying guests. as we gathered in the room, martin had to tell us that earlier in the evening he had caught two members of staff attempting to enter the torture chamber, where we had set up a controlled experiment. they were deliberatly trying to scupper our investigation. this did not help the night out as our contolled room was now uncontrolled and unreliable. but also all the disturbances throughout the night and turned our groups energy into negative rather than the earlier postive. still we persevered and finished the night off. but now the company that we went with has now removed chillingham castle from its reportoire and the castle is now quite a bit of revenue short due to these occurences. but alas, it takes alot to put me off and i am now in the process of planning a new investigation. we then ventured up to edinburgh and had a much better time there. a beautiful city that i would recommend to anybody. trinitii
