Is it any form or lucid dreaming at all when you fall asleep and have a dream about something that you did that day?? I had a dream the other night of the last 10 minutes of a soccer game I had played a week earlier, exactly the way it happened. I don't know about you guys, but my memory isn't that good to remember EXACTLY how the game went in those last 10 minutes so I'm guessing it was my subconscious or something.

No, that wasnt lucid. Lucid is when you can dream thát way that you dream it the way you want.

I dunno.. it was just 'a' dream which happened to be exactly the same (atleast, you remember) as during daytime.
The same like déjà vu, your brains remember subconsiously something similar, but not the same, but your consious brain says it IS the same as you already 'seen'. Get it ? ;D

So lucid dreaming is when you dream something and that thinks happens in the near future

Not really, lucid is more like making yourself dream something, so if you get deja vu after dreaming it, it isn't a coincidence.

No you're not understanding me right. Lucid dreaming is MAKING yourself dream about something. It's not predicting the future if you force yourself to dream that event. Usually if you tell yourself to dream a certain event it isn't that major, though, and that's why it can be the same as deja vu.
If you force yourself to dream something important or major, then that can be seen as predicting the future. But lucid dreaming by definition is making yourself dream something, not predicting the future.
