I've heard that in a certain state of sleep, you are actually paralyzed and can not move at all. When you wake up suddenly from the state of sleep, it can take you a few minutes to get your body moving again.
I have also heard that if you dream of your own death in this state of sleep, your mind will think it was real so much that it will actually shut down and you will die. Does anyone know if this is true or not??

Heya Teej,
I thought i go chek out P-U again, i am very bussy and dont really feel like internetting at the moment, but hey, i've to show myself atleast once a week right ;D....
My brother is 14 years of age and have had an OBE Twice allready through dreams, he died in the dream and went to the afterlife, my brother had some messages for my mom and my mom was stunned because he had to say something her mother only could have said to him, no way possible he could have been making it up, also he could describe alot of things in great detail... my grandmother ( my mothers mom ) told him if he talked about it he would lose the memory, it faided, the detail he first told did vanish from his memory.
But well i believe you can semi die in your dreams, or atleast trigger an OBE.

I've sort of been having that recently.. but not of me dying.. Sadly, my mother. In one dream.. I'm watching her die.. and I'm crying so much and I try screaming and all but nothing comes out of me.. like I'm there but not.. it's so horrific.. because that's what I think about now.. and sometimes I'm afraid to fall asleep because I don't want to dream that again and have it come true. What with all that's going on.. I don't know what will happen...

Hey Surion, nice to see you again. Thanks for the info both of you. I have had dreams where I have died in them, but I always wake up and I'm still alive. But maybe I'm not in the right state of sleep. But I definately have woken up and can not move for a few minutes. Happens in school a lot  Teej |

You can't die in your dream and wake up again. If you're dead, ur dead. If ye go visit the afterlife and come back again, your not dead.
Ofcourse ye cán die in your dream, but you wont be able to tell that in the conventional way

That's true TJ. If you are about to die in your dream and you actually get to the point of death in it, you really do die. For instance if you fell off this really steep cliff, you'd be alive for those couple moments, but once you hit the ground and your dead in your dream, your dead for real.
When you dream of someone else dying in your dream it is different. Death in a dream can mean the death or change to a part of your personality or the end of a certain phase in your life in that case.

have you totally died in a dream? Like didn't wake up after your about to die, dont think anything after you "die".

hhmm, well if you did die in a dream and your body took it to mean you were dead,, atleast there would be alot you would not have to worry about anymore.
but death in a dream can mean change, I saw in a dream, the death of my sister, in real life, she meet a man and got married to him, her life changed dramaticly, the old her "passed on" nowdays those dreams don't worry me so much
what does worry me is when one dreams stuff like this
"it was cemetary, on clear day, I was near a tree and a headstone, the Stone I knew to belong to my wife (I am not married and never have been), between me and the Stone, with her back to me is a Dark Haired Woman in her 20's, she is wearing one of those Detective style Coats, dark grey, the woman, though I never see her face, I know to bee my Daughter, she is before the Grave of her mother, (am not a father (yet)). I had this dream when I met a woman about 3 years ago. and I have no illusions as to what it could mean. however I post it for other opinions.
