Although most people think that Hades, the Greek god of the Underworld, was a cruel and hateful person, the real story is much different. Hades didn't want his position in the Underworld, yet he had to pick third after his two brothers Zeus and Poseidon. When they picked their positions (Zeus the heavens and Poseidon the sea) he picked what he thought was the next best thing, the Underworld, with all of the riches and gems. When he punishes his bad servents, he is merely just doing his job. Sorry, I felt an urge to post that after me and another member of a different website got in a fight on whether or not Hades was evil or not Teej

I don't believe in him, but living a life like that must tear a man apart... If he had a angry ting to him, could you blame him....

well, Teej that is highly interesting information.. but I think after awhile.. if you live a certain way it begins to get to you.. and he was use to yelling, hatred, death, loneliness and punishment... I think he'd start to act that way with everyone... no matter if they deserved it or not. Which is quite sad for he probably could of had a better life than to be known for something he never truly wanted. I can't say that I don't believe in him but I can't say that I do either... because if you believe in Zeus then, as you all always say.. there can't be love without chaos.. so you'd have to believe in him aswell. But the underworld would need order and I guess after awhile, he thought that that's all he was good for... so he stuck with it. Because don't you think he would of tried to make himself a better god if he could? I think so.

By heavens, they mean the sky. Hades was in charge of ALL the underworld which includes the good and bad side.
