I agree with that. I think the past includes everything, but history is only the stuff in the text books. I agree with your saying as well Witchboy.

It's true, but 'past' and 'history' are two whole differrent things. The author who said that made a comparison to clear up that those things are difference, not find the similarities.
I can compare an apple with grapes. Then I can say they're both fruit. But I can also say that they taste whole different, and have different size and shape.

Exactly. You never know what you can believe, and what you can't. I bet some people in Iraq or some place like that are learning that Hussein is a saint or something (which he definately is not).
