Scientist discovered 460-500 million years old tracks* in sandstone (found near Kingston, Ontario, Canada) from beings walking over land. These beings would be big bugs. This suggests that the first animals came out the sea 40 million years earlier then currently acknowledged. *no photo yet.

Man that's pretty gross. I hate spiders and bugs and stuff. But that's weird that we overlooked that. The only thing that makes me wonder if it's true or not is how did these giant bugs evolve from microscopic organisms. You would think that they would start off small, and then start growing bigger and bigger.

That aint to hard to figure out... dinosaurs were also HUGE. And we're talking about a couple of millions of years of (of of of ;D) evolution here... They just didnt survive the big meteorimpact. Only the small animals survived (mostly mamals).

It just doesn't seem logical to me. I can't put my finger on it, hopefully it will come to me soon.

I just said I can't put my finger on it. If I think of it I'll post it. I still don't really get why animals would evolve to suddenly be really huge, then afterwards be really small. I would think it would be the other way around.

[glow=purple,2,300] for the sake of survival.. think about it...lizards we're alive then as they are now...but they're small they survived the blast, if the insects we're big the small ones survived and remained like that...they're we're prolly tons more of insects in that time...that's prolly why reptiles skin is so thick.. well in my opinion....

That's an interesting point. And if you think about it, ferns and plants back then were huge compared to how they appear now. So maybe they were huge before and now they are smaller. Alright, I take it back. I believe it's possible now.
