I was told there are ways to control your dreams. I'm really interested in how to do this, because I have had troubling dreams lately and I would like them to stop. Is there some kind of meditation thing you have to do??

Well the biggest thing with lucid dreaming is that you have to practise alot. There's not a certain way to do it, but some things may help you finding your way: - first of all, remember your dreams! Write them down in a booklet or something - try to ask yourself the question if you are dreaming when you think (!) you are awake. For example, if you take a look at your watch, does it say the same time when you look a couple of seconds later? If so, you are then probably dreaming. - when you go to sleep, make the promise to yourself that you WANT to have control.
It's like when you make a list for the grosseries you have to get in the supermarket. You take a look in the fridge, and then see you have to get some milk cuz its running out. When you then go to the supermarket, you dont think about the milk. But when you are at the fridge inside the supermarket, you suddenly remember you have to get the milk. Tháts the same brain-link you have to control when you want to perform lucid dreaming.
Hope this helps you!

Well, I've been keeping track of my dreams. And everytime before I go to bed I tell myself to have control. But nothing so far. Maybe I just gotta practice at it.

Keep practising. It may take a long while... it took me 3 months or so. But when the first time was succesfull (you may be shocked, cuz its really weird) then the next time will go better.

Well last night I told myself that I wanted to dream something about a war being fought somewhere and me going to that country and stopping it. I had a dream kind of like that only it was here in the U.S. Is that a good sign, or is it just a coincedence?? Teej

It's a start... but with controling your dream I meant controling it at the moment WHEN you dream. That is, you are aware of what you are doing in your dream, as if it's real-life.
