The other night I had a strange and very upsetting dream. I dreamed that my mother and I were out front of our home. We were preparing our car to to on a trip to Gatlinburg. I remember the car was one that the hood opened up outwards instead of inwards. It was like an old sports car. Gray color. I was checking the oil to make sure that it was ok. Mom was talking to me from inside the car telling me how to do it (as usualy ). I ended up dropping the thing you check with and it rolled down the drive way and down the road a bit. I went to get it and that is when mom come behind me fussing and telling me that she had it and I had chased the wrong thing. I told her to just go by herself and forget it. She went to get in the car and backed out. I opened the door to getin and she started off. I caught onto this sheet like rope hanging from the open door and was dragged down the road behind her. She ended up dragging me down the dead end road we live on, down the road after that up to the highway. Somehow I manage to stay on my feet till she turned on the to the highway. That is when I was slammed into the road. My arms were cut open and to pieces as was the rest of my body; battered, bruised. My waist I couldn't move or turn at all. What in the world does this mean?

Hmmm. How old were you in the dream?? Did you have problems with your mother or was the relationship you had with her bad??
What I think it means is that you have unfinished business with her (I'm assuming she has passed away, but even if she hasn't this can still apply). The cuts mean that you have been hurt by this unfinished business and it has left you open and vulnerable. Maybe it was a fight or maybe if she died, her leaving you has left you feeling defenseless. But either way, I don't know why it was in this way, her dragging you with her car. But I will think about it and maybe it will come to me.

Thank you Teej. My mother and I have always been at odds. She is a controling person and I do not like anyone trying to control me. We have had many fights due to the fact that I dislike her telling me her adivce instead of giving it and respecting that I may not always take it.
The past could lay in it...emotionaly she was never there.

teej is right. I think you have something that will happen with her in the future. And the cuts because you were hurt soo much by her that you're still hurting now. But bare in mind... the dream can just show you the future without changement. Perhaps it means you MUST change it.. to make things better.. and you won't end up dying...
I hope this helps.

If you have had ill feelings towards your mother due to controlling nature perhaps this is the reason behind the dream.
It is her who drags you where she wants you to go forcing you not to stop and go in your own direction.
This hurts you deeply (the cuts) and falling flat when you end where she has forced you to be.
Take this as a warning.. always take your own path.
This is of course just an idea as dreams and their symbolisms are personal and mean different things to each person.

And some dreams don't mean anything at all or just a coincidence. But I think this one has some meaning to it.

When I was little my mother was never there for me emotionaly. She worked, give her credit. But when I went to her with problems I was told one of two things: 1) I don't know what to do, solve it yourself. 2) Don't have time, deal with it yourself.
At an early age I learned you depened on only one person emotionaly...yourself. And not long after that you don't have emotions.
I hold resentment to her for that...

That isn't right. A parent needs to be their for their kids. But I guess all you can do is move on.

True enough Teejie. You have to move on.... I love my mother, but what she did caused a lot of pain...
The worse to memory was when I was about 7or so. I woke from a nightmare where both my parents had died. By this time when I cried I cried alone.
I went into the living room and prayed to God to not take my parents and for them to not wake up and hear me. They did though. Their words of comfort:
"Deal with it. We could die tomorrow and you will be on your own."
One thing I swear, my children will never feel such.

That is the other thing to do, promise to never be that way to your own children. But hey, at least everything is pretty good now, right??

Yes Teej. I never doubt that my mother loves me. I doubt she respects me at times....but her love and support are always there.

I didn't even have to read this to tell you the reson you get these dreamz... Itz because you make such an effort to block them from your mind that when you sleep your subconcience bringz up what iz realy on your mind all the time but, you force them out. You only see this att night cause your guard iz down then...You dream what you fear and try not to think of...

Well, you have a very good thought there and it seems to make sense. Nice job. Listen to him, that is the best way to think of it..
